Lamborghini Fenomeno Roadster to be unveiled in May 2026 https://engineicon.com/exclusive-lamborghini-fenomeno-roadster-to-be-unveiled-in-may-2026/ Tue, 14 Apr 2026 03:05:10 +0000 https://engineicon.com/exclusive-lamborghini-fenomeno-roadster-to-be-unveiled-in-may-2026/

Every once in a while, Lamborghini debuts a special edition model. Last year, it was the Fenomeno, and this year, there will be something similar. Well-placed sources had told us that the Lamborghini Fenomeno Roadster will be unveiled in May. The car will be showcased at Lamborghini Arena 2026, which will be held at Imola on May 9-10.

Traditionally, Lamborghini has offered roadster versions of its few-offs. Legendary models like the Reventon and Veneno got open-top versions, and more recently, the Centenario and Sian FKP 37.

The Fenomeno Roadster is likely to feature a similar exterior to the coupe. The jaw-dropping two-tone design is exactly what a Lamborghini should look like, while the interior will be carried over from the Revuelto.

The Fenomeno is based on the Revuelto. The Roadster will be powered by the same V12 hybrid tuned to produce 1065 hp and 793 lb-ft of torque. It should make it the most powerful roadster Lamborghini has ever built.

Like the Revuelto, the Fenomeno also boasts a larger 7 kWh lithium-ion battery, which gives it an electric range of 12.4 miles.

Lamborghini is building only 29 examples of the coupe with a price tag of $3.5 million each. We expect the roadster version to be even more exclusive.

Lamborghini also plans to showcase another special edition model, the Revuelto Miura Edition, in August this year.

Exclusive! Lamborghini Urus SE Performante likely to debut in April 2026 https://engineicon.com/exclusive-lamborghini-urus-se-performante-likely-to-debut-in-april-2026/ Fri, 13 Mar 2026 00:57:50 +0000 https://engineicon.com/exclusive-lamborghini-urus-se-performante-likely-to-debut-in-april-2026/

Lamborghini is working on a high-performance version of the latest Urus SE. It’s no secret, as the SUV has already been spotted testing multiple times in the recent past. We still don’t know whether it will be called ‘Performante’, but sources tell us that it is likely to be unveiled in April 2026.

The new model will essentially be a sharper, sportier version of the plug-in hybrid Urus. It could receive a slight bump in power, a tweaked suspension setup and other upgrades.

The Urus Performante is expected to feature a more aggressive front bumper, different wheels, a reworked rear bumper and roof spoiler. The interior will be largely similar, except for maybe some tech upgrades.

Currently, the Urus SE comes with a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine paired with a plug-in hybrid system. It generates 789 hp @ 6000 rpm and 701 lb-ft @ 1750-5750 rpm.

Exclusive! Ferrari Amalfi Spider set to debut on March 12 https://engineicon.com/exclusive-ferrari-amalfi-spider-set-to-debut-on-march-12/ Tue, 24 Feb 2026 22:43:48 +0000 https://engineicon.com/exclusive-ferrari-amalfi-spider-set-to-debut-on-march-12/

Last week, we had reported that Ferrari was planning to roll out the Amalfi Spider in the first half of next month. Well, we can now confirm that the new convertible will be revealed on March 12, 2026.

The Ferrari Amalfi made its global debut in July last year, as the successor to the Roma. We will see the same evolutionary design on the Spider, except for the fixed roof, which will be replaced with a retractable fabric roof.

The Amalfi Spider will feature the shark-nose-style front end with a long hood, muscular fenders and sleek taillights. While the rear decklid will be modified to accommodate the roof mechanism, the rear fascia is likely to remain unchanged. It will also get the same upgraded interior as the coupe.

The Amalfi Spider will be powered by the same 3.9-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, which makes 631 hp and 561 lb-ft of torque. It comes paired with an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic. It will be equipped with Ferrari’s new brake-by-wire system, an active rear spoiler and Side Slip Control 6.1.

Exclusive! Porsche 911 GT3 Sport Cabriolet to debut in March https://engineicon.com/exclusive-porsche-911-gt3-sport-cabriolet-to-debut-in-march/ Sun, 22 Feb 2026 21:17:24 +0000 https://engineicon.com/exclusive-porsche-911-gt3-sport-cabriolet-to-debut-in-march/

We are likely to witness the unveiling of two new exciting convertibles next month. The Ferrari Amalfi Spider is expected to debut in the first half. The second car will be from Porsche: a 911 GT3 Cabriolet. We’ve been told that the order books will open soon.

The convertible version of the GT3 has been in the works for some time now. It was first spotted in July 2025. The latest rumours suggest that it might be called the 911 GT3 Sport Cabriolet.

Like the Amalfi Spider, the convertible GT3 will also feature a folding soft top and a special aero package comprising vents behind the front wheel arches like that of the GT3 RS and a sporty rear bumper with dual exhausts in the centre. Instead of a fixed rear wing, the convertible version might get a retractable spoiler just like the standard 911 Carrera.

The 911 GT3 Sport Cabrio could use the same 4.0-liter, flat-6 engine. Currently, this engine produces 502 hp, which is sent to the rear wheels via either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed PDK.
